  • Firstly, turn on the repeater, modem, or router device and connect it with the DC adapter that arrives with the box
  • Now connect the router LAN port with the Wired LAN cable from the router for physical connectivity or you can also look for the default SSID or key print available on the sticker for connecting through the WiFi
  • Now go to your laptop or computer LAN TCP/IPv4 settings
  • Next use the DHCP mode or even the static IP address for using the IP address option

Hence, in this way, you can easily connect your WiFi to the IP address with ease.

How to access the WiFi router settings through the WiFi?

Are you willing to connect the WiFi router settings using the WiFi? Here is how you can do so.

Go to your device and open your web browser. It can be any browser that is Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla, Chrome, etc. Go to the URL bar and type the default IP address and click on the tab Enter. On the next page, enter the username and password. The username and password would be different for different brands. Once you have entered the username and password, give click on Enter or Login option. On the next page, you shall be able to access various information like the router hardware, configuration details, software details, and various other details.

Once you have successfully logged in to the control panel of the router, you can now change the content filtering, wireless settings, port forwarding, internet schedule, login username, password, etc. to factory reset. However, it should be noted that if you have logged in for the first time, you need to work on certain essential configurations.

How to change the Username and Password?

For changing the username and password of the WiFi SSID, you need to search for the wireless settings option from the Menu option beside the WAN/LAN option. Make the changes below in it:

  • Basic – (11b/g/n)
  • SSID – Buffalo-G-7E94 (change the default name to this)
  • Encryption key – use a stronger WiFi security key combination for utmost security

Once you have entered this setting, click on the option Apply and save the settings.

How to factory reset the router?

Is your https 192.168 11.1 IP address taking too long to respond? Or is the default IP address failing to work? Or is it already changed? The solution to all these is the factory reset button for restoring the settings.

For a factory reset router, here are the steps you need to follow.

  • Check the router Ethernet ports and search for the small reset button on them.
  • If the button is inside the modem, use the needle and press the button.
  • Hold the button for around 10 to 15 seconds.
  • Once you release the button, the power LED light restarts and your router would reboot again.

This entire process would take around 3 to 4 minutes depending on the modem you are using. Wait for the process to complete. Once the reset process is completed, follow the steps mentioned above for getting access to your default router settings and start freshly again.

However, it should be noted that when the router reset option is adopted, it would erase the entire configuration stored in the system and the router would restart again. Hence, one should take the backup of any configuration or internet settings before starting with the process.
