Sangarmaal Shopping Complex

A Shopping plaza  famous as ‘Sangarmaal City Centre’ is situated in  the very heart of Srinagar, being bounded by the Moulana Azad Road in the South along Polo ground, Bund Road along Schuntikul stream on the North, a major link road connecting M.A road to Bishambar Nagar, truely a uptown and downtown connection in the west and and Golf Course, MLA Hostel and Hotel Broadway on the east, Sangarmaal’ can be construed as the ‘jewel in the Crown’ of the Valley. ‘Sangarmaal’ with its grandeur and confluence of local architect/traditional art and modem look  can be treated as significant achievement of SDA. 15 kanals of land has been utilized for completion of phase-I of Sangarmaal. The SDA after due auction notice and wider publicity to general public allotted 57 shops, 10 kiosks, 2 food courts and 5 office spaces

6.13 kanals of land recently taken over by SDA was cleared and fenced  for opening of entrance from  M.A.Road, Food Courts and well Illuminated area have been proposed.

High end Hotel on Vacant land measuring 34.00 Kanals having 250 rooms is proposed to be taken up in PPP mode with the land of 34 kanals @ of Rs. 4.00 Cr  per Kanal as Equity.(with a multiplex, as per B O D decision.


The  Commercial complex  falls adjacent to  lower court complex at Lal-chowk.

Block D of Old Charisharief Adda  Shopping complex has been completed and allotted  in auction.



The existing single storeyed Shopping Complex at Rawalpora, Srinagar comprising of 23 shops has been constructed in the year 1980. The said site is located at Sanat-Nagar road and there is tremendous scope for commercial activity.  However, a shopping Mall is proposed to be reconstructed at site.The Complex shall comprise of 24 shops in “Ground Floor” and 24 shops in “First Floor” with office facilities in 2nd and 3rd floor.


SDA is constructing a three storey shopline (ground + 2 floors) at Bemina Srinagar opposite JVC Hospital.There  shall be 14 shops and 2 open kiosks in ground floor  and Ist floor of the  shopline, while  as  2nd floor  shall have commercial /office spaces.The 2nd floor shall have 6 halls and 4 rooms each. Each floor shall be provided with  two toilet blocks.


The Habitat Centre has been  constructed at Bemina Byepass near SDA office Complex  to accommodate the offices of town Planning Organization(TPO), Architect Organization(AO), Urban Development Agency, Kashmir (UDAK), Housing Board and Local Bodies.

SDA constructed first floor shopline at Noorbagh, Srinagar.

Guest House, Bemina: SDA is constructing a guest house near SDA office Complex, N.H By-pass Bemina. Guest House comprises of 9 rooms  with attach Bathrooms, Dining Hall and Conference Hall at Attic Floor. The work is in progress and will be completed soon.
